Mark Titzer named Director of Procurement Services
April 2006

Earlier this month, Scott Scarborough announced that Jeff Bethke accepted the position of Associate Vice President for Operations, assuming responsibility for overseeing the University Budget Process and supervising the Budget Group and staff in Scott's office, in addition to directing other special projects. Jeff previously served at DePaul as the Director of Procurement. After reviewing various options for filling Jeff's newly vacated role, I have asked Mark Titzer, our Associate Vice President of Finance for the last 3 years, to assume the duties of directing the procurement office in addition to his current responsibilities.

Prior to joining DePaul, Mark was a management consultant with IBM Consulting and Price Waterhouse, and served as a controller for a division of 3M Company. Mark has an undergraduate degree from Indiana University and an MBA from the University of Georgia .

Mark has contributed greatly to the university. He played a key role in the very successful PeopleSoft Financial system upgrade, the engineering of the tremendous expansion of managerial information reporting, and a wide variety of projects and process improvements in Financial Affairs. This is a good opportunity for Mark to expand his experience at DePaul and bring his skills to the procurement function.

Please join me in welcoming Mark in his expanded role which is effective Monday, April 17th.

Bob Kozoman
