The Hertz rent-a-car has been an automotive tradition for more than 80 years. There are now more than 1,900 Hertz rental locations in the United States and well over 7,000 locations worldwide, from Australia to Zimbabwe. Hertz offers a variety of vehicle classes, from compact to full-size, plus special cars from the Hertz Prestige Collection, such as Land Rover, Volvo Cross-Country Station Wagon, and Jaguar XJ8. Hertz rental vehicles include air conditioning, driver- and passenger-side airbags, and anti-lock brakes.

Hertz has pioneered a number of car rental features. It's the first company to offer in-car cell phones and the first to offer an on-board navigation system in their North American fleet. Other special customer-friendly features include Hertz Return Centers, providing a weather-protected waiting area and a free shuttle to your terminal are at most U.S. airport locations. Hertz also offers Emergency Roadside assistance in the U.S. and Canada, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
